You're reading: Police arrest four demonstrators in Kyiv

Four opposition activists, who were staging a rally to mark the anniversary of the "Orange Revolution" in Independence Square in Kyiv on Tuesday, have been arrested by police for petty hooliganism.

The arrested activists have been brought to a territorial police station, the Kyiv police told Interfax-Ukraine.

After the police have compiled administrative reports, they will be released.

Police did not specify who exactly they were and which organization they represent.

Earlier, a court banned any demonstrations in Independence Square on Nov. 22.
