The budget of Kyiv region is expected to grow by 20% in 2012, Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration Anatoliy Prysiazhniuk has said.

"Next year’s budget will be 20% better," he told reporters on Thursday.

Prysiazhniuk said that Kyiv Regional State Administration was fruitfully working with the Finance Ministry on the region’s budgetary targets for 2012 in the law on Ukraine’s state budget.

He said that the Cabinet of Ministers had taken into account proposals from the region, in particular, on financing the payment of salaries to public sector employees, as well as implementing programs for the construction of social objects.
