You're reading: Sales of houses in Kyiv region up almost 30% in 2012

The number of deals on the sale and purchase of private houses in Kyiv region in 2012 grew by 29.8% compared to the previous year, to 9,807, the Kyiv-based SV Development consulting company has reported.

The share of deals worth $30,000-100,000 amounted to 43%, the share of houses in the $100,000-150,000 price category was 30%, while 16% were houses worth $150,000-200,000 and 11% were houses worth over $200,000.

Houses up to 170 square meters (52% of deals) were in the greatest demand, 33% of the deals were for houses of from 170 to 250 square meters, 9% for houses of from 250 to 300 square meters, and 6% for houses over 300 square meters.

The highest price of houses, including the cost of a land plot, was registered in Obukhiv district, where the average figure stood at $1,540 per square meter, while the lowest price was seen in Skvyra district, with $285 per square meter.
