You're reading: Work of Ukraine’s Agrarian Policy Ministry paralyzed by seizure

The people who have taken over the building of the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy Ministry, which is located on Kyiv's Khreschatyk Street, are preventing ministry officials from working.

The so-called self-defense fighters are letting ministry officials take their personal belongings, but say ministry officials will not be working on Friday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

At the same time, Ukrainian Deputy Agrarian Policy Minister Ivan Bisiuk said the administration of the ministry is trying to resolve organizational issues with the protesters.

“We have now come to work and we are deciding how we will proceed. We don’t know yet if people will be allowed [to enter their workplaces] or not. The issue is expected to be resolved within an hour,” Bisiuk said.

Protesters occupied the building of the Agrarian Policy Ministry in the early hours of Friday.
