About 90 buildings in the central part of Kyiv were sold almost for free or for trifling sum when "the young team" of Leonid Chernovetsky was in power in the city, Deputy Head of Kyiv City Administration Oleksandr Puzanov has said.

"About 90 buildings in the central part of the city were sold to investors on very uncompetitive terms: ungrounded benefits were given to an investor or a facility was given just free of charge," Puzanov said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, a decision on the transfer of all of the premises, including buildings located in the historical part of the city, was taken by Kyiv Council, while Kyiv City State Administration "fulfilled administrative actions: directly concluding agreements and signing acts on the transfer of property."

"We are conducting thorough work on each of these facilities in order to return them to the city. Some of them have already been returned," Puzanov said.

According to him, the present owners do not want to return the property voluntarily, but "submit proposals to hold talks on the situation."
