You're reading: Bilyk finishes "Without the name" tour

On Nov. 27 Ukraine’s hottest pop star, Iryna Bilyk, will finish up her “Without a Name” tour. Bilyk’s tour hit all major western Ukrainian cities, including Rivne, Lutsk, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Ivano‑Frankivsk, Uzhhorod and Chernivtsy.

She has promised to sing her new song “Country,” including the song’s new music video.

After the successful release of her two new hits “Mirrors” and “Rain for Us,” Ani Lorak has decided to stick to dance music. The versatile singer has more than 50 songs in her repertoire. Her two new dance hits have her fans and radio DJs hoping that she continues down this musical path. According to an opinion poll on Lorak’s official Web site, her fans voted overwhelmingly for the singer to keep her new, slick look.

Lorak’s newly released song “Rainbow” was made into a dance remix. Earlier this year the singer released an autobiographical video “Ani Lorak Forever” and also an album featuring her greatest hits from 1994‑2000.

There was hardly an ex‑pat  in Kyiv who wasn’t at Al Capone on Nov. 24 to catch the long‑waited comeback concert of Speeding Lisa.  Band members Dave Diamonon, Euan McDonald, Hugh Patton and Nick Morris played a lively set covering all their classic covers, plus a few originals. McDonald, a Scot, nearly bested Jimi Hendrix with his “Star Spangled Banner” solo, while Morris, in an unsuccessful attempt to outdo McDonald, smashed his guitar to bits.
