Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia – At the 39th Chess Olympiad, the Open team Ukraine continues to lead after winning 3.5-0.5 over France in round 10. Ukraine has 18 MPs. Team Ukraine is composed of Vassily Ivanchuk, Ruslan Ponamariov, Pavel Eljanov, Zahar Efimenko and Alexander Moiseenko. However, Russia 1, the initial top favorite, is catching up with a win, 2.5-1.5, over China. Russia 1 now has 17 MPs and lying in second place. Russia 1 comprise of Vladimir Kramnik, Alexander Grischuk, Peter Svidler and Sergey Karjakin.
