You're reading: Five rare white lion cubs born in Crimea

Two white lion cubs were born about a month ago at the Kazka (Fairy Tale) Zoo in Yalta and three more were born ten days ago in the Taigan Safari Park in the town of Bilohirsk in Crimea, the information center of the autonomous republic reported, with reference to the director of Yalta Zoo, who is also the founder of Taigan Safari Park, Oleh Zubkov.

“The cubs are doing well. All of them are bottle-fed,” Zubkov said,
adding that this is the first time that white lion cubs have been born
in Ukrainian zoos.

The cubs haven’t been given names yet, he said.

According to Zubkov, visitors to Yalta Zoo will be able to see and
take pictures of the baby lions in two weeks. Meanwhile, the newborn
cubs at the safari park will be shown to visitors only in a month.
