Famous Hollywood stuntman and skydiver B.J. Worth will arrive in Ukraine at an invitation of Kharkiv Regional Skydiving Federation and will hold a training camp dubbed Sky Hopak at Maiske airfield in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

“Bruce Jeffrey Worth is a legendary figure in skydiving. He is not just an honorary president of the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, the World Air Sports Federation), he is also the founder of formation skydiving – there is such a sport when in free-fall people build certain formations, which may include from a few to 200 people. He created the first formations, came up with the first regroupings, and until last year he was the captain of the world team in large formations (which involve more than ten people). This year, Bruce decided to finish his skydiving career, and he ends it with the project, which they decided to call Sky Hopak, and which is being held by Kharkiv Regional Federation at Maiske airfield in Dnipropetrovsk region,” head of the executive committee of Kharkiv Regional Parachuting Federation Oksana Trush told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to her, B.J. Worth came up with the idea of calling of the project Sky Hopak.

“He suggested the name of the project. He called and said: ‘You have such a wonderful beautiful dance called hopak. Let’s call our project Sky Hopak,'” Trush said.

The project will involve 35 people who will first build a certain formation in the air, dissolve and form it again.

The training camp with B.J. Worth is scheduled for July 12-14. B.J. Worth performed the most complex stunts in the air in the James Bond films (Tomorrow Never Dies, Golden Eye, License to Kill, A View to a Kill, Moonraker). He is also famous for directing and staging almost all of the world records in the category of large formations.
