Legendary German rock band Scorpions will headline the international music festival The Best City UA-2013 in Dnipropetrovsk.
The head of the organizing committee of the festival, former governor of Dnipropetrovsk region, Oleksandr Vilkul, announced this in a video message on Tuesday.
At The Best City UA-2013 the Scorpions will present their exclusive festival set Rock’N’Roll For Ever, which includes the best songs in the more than forty-year history of the group.
Alternative rock bands Lacuna Coil (Italy) and Guano Apes (Germany) will co-headline the festival, which will be held from July 12 until July 14 in Novoselytsia Park outside Dnipropetrovsk.
Fifteen popular artists from Ukraine, Europe and Russia will perform on the main stage of the festival: Germany’s Scorpions and Guano Apes, Britain’s Hurts and Enter Shikari, Italy’s Lacuna Coil, Russia’s Mumiy Troll, Leningrad, Splean, B-2, Night Snipers, Dolphin, Ukraine’s Vopli Vidopliassova (VV), Kozak System, TNMK, Motor’rolla, as well as the group that wins the festival’s competition for young bands.
Until June 15, the organizing committee of the festival accepts applications from young musicians and artists to perform on New Live Stage and Emotion Stage. More than 300 applications from artists from Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Georgia and Estonia have already been registered.
A ticket for a day at the festival will cost Hr 399.
