Mika Newton, a talented pop singer and writer now based in Los Angeles, CA (originally from Ukraine), has won the June SingerUniverse “Best Vocalist Of The Month” Competition, for her performance of her song “Magnets” (co-written by Rune Westberg & Victoria Horn). This song will be included on Newton's upcoming album, which will be released this fall by JK Music Group.
“Magnets” is a melodic, heartfelt pop ballad which provides an excellent showcase for Newton’s strong, passionate vocals. For the chorus, the melody lifts into a higher range and allows Newton’s vocals to soar with power and emotion. “Magnets” was expertly produced by Randy Jackson (of American Idol) & Rune Westberg. Co-writers Westberg & Victoria Horn are prominent hit songwriters who have worked with Daughtry, Adam Lambert, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and others.
