Ukraine's very own Santa arrives early. St. Nicholas, the historical figure who was the inspiration behind the story of Santa Claus, will throw a holiday bash for children and adults at the art restaurant “Shlyapa.”

Traditionally he comes in the morning on Dec. 19, leaving gifts under the pillow, but if your children have behaved well and have gotten good grades this year, St. Nicholas will happily reward them a little earlier with some goodies, contests and games.

Also known as Nikolaos the Wonderworker, the key wonder of the entertainment program will be an impromptu play starring your very own children!

Sun, Dec. 18, 3 p.m., art restaurant “Shlyapa,” 14 Gorkogo St., free admission.
