You're reading: Trinity Day at Mamayeva Sloboda

Trinity Day, a major Orthodox holiday, will be celebrated with an ethnic fest in Mamayeva Sloboda, an outdoor museum, just a short drive from the city center.

It is traditionally celebrated on 50th day of Easter and refers to the nature of God existing in three persons.
To celebrate, you can listen to a church bells concert, go to a chamber music festival, take part in a contest of vyshivankas (traditional embroidered shirts), browse a craft fair, or join other street festivities.
This year, all proceeds from the festival will be used to restore an Orthodox Church built in 17-18th century in Chyhyryn of Cherkasy Oblast.
