New Mix Productions has begun work on a new video offering by Ukrainian band Tartak. “Bozhevilni Tantsi” (Crazy Dances) will be adapted for film by combining alternative youth culture with the eternal sounds of classical music – and with the participation of a dozen National Opera ballerinas. “The video represents a new experiment for our creative work,” Tartak front man and TV host Sashko Polozhynsky said in a statement. Quiet as of late, Ukrainian band Green Grey are due to release a new album, “Emigrant,” in May. Moreover, Green Grey front men Murik and Dizel recently traveled to the United States to record a video for the title track with the help of producer Viktor Priduvalov – and in New York: the undisputed emigrant‑immigrant capital of the world. Another song from the upcoming disc, “Vse Budyet Horosho” (Everything Will Be Alright), also promises to make waves: since it’s to be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming Russian movie “Shnek.” (www.chaykafest.com)
