The deputy head of the BYT-Batkivschyna faction, Yuriy Odarchenko, on Wednesday passed to the presidential administration a resolution by participants in a rally of Chornobyl cleanup workers, Afghan war veterans and wartime children held outside the building of the Cabinet of Ministers on Nov. 29, the press service of the Batkivschyna Party has reported.

The resolution addressed to the country’s senior leadership contains the demands to call early elections for president, the parliament and local government agencies in order "to prevent the further usurpation of power and stop the destruction of our country."

The rally participants also demanded the dismissal of Ukrainian Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko.

In addition, the signatories of the resolution also insisted on a full and objective investigation into the death of disabled coal miner Hennadiy Konopliov.

"All of the social welfare payments that are illegally delayed by executive government agencies because of their inability to effectively manage the country’s economy must be immediately resumed," reads the resolution.

According to the press service, 5,000 rally participants "unanimously" voted for the adoption of this resolution.
