Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has called on the ambassadors of the European Union's countries and the United States to influence the Ukrainian opposition in order to prevent violent actions by participants in protest rallies.

“I’m asking Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski, the
Ambassador to the United States to do everything possible to urge
opposition-minded politicians to prevent violence vis-à-vis law
enforcers, to call for a peaceful dialogue, and abandon the language of
ultimatums,” he said at a meeting with ambassadors of EU countries,
Canada, and the United States in Kyiv on Monday.
