Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that the newly appointed Social Policy Minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska has every chance to implement her pre-election promises in the social sphere.

“Now she has every chance to implement big tasks she talked about during the election campaign,” he said in an interview with Ukrainian television channels on Thursday.

According to the premier, Korolevska has to carry out big tasks and “we’ll see how she copes with them.”

The premier also said that he suggested Korolevska holding consultations with her predecessor on this position, MP Sergiy Tigipko, and pay special attention to his best practice.

At the parliamentary elections in Ukraine on October 28, 2012, Korolevska headed the Ukraine-Forward! party list. The party received 1.58% of the votes. Thus, it did not overcome the 5% threshold and did not win seats in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament. During the pre-election campaign, Korolevska said that her party submitted to the parliament a package of anti-crisis bills that foresee average wages of EUR 1,000 and average pensions of EUR 500.
