Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that the issue of the activity of the Svoboda Association on the territory of Ukraine has to be considered in terms of its compliance with the law.

"Maybe those who raise the issue have reasons for doing so, but it should be considered according to the law," the premier told Ukrainian television’s Channel 5, when asked whether the Svoboda Association could be banned in Ukraine.

He also said: "What I watched on TV, I have no detailed report yet, but what I saw on TV obviously does not speak well of this party.

And raising the issue in the light of those events is obviously possible."

Numerous clashes and conflicts took place on the Victory Day in Lviv.

In particular, at the Hill of Glory a group of young people broke through the police encirclement and attempted to prevent the unfurling of the red flag.

A total of 14 people were injured from the clashes on May 9.

Nine people were detained for disorderly conduct.

A criminal case was opened on a shooting, as a result of which a member of the Svoboda Association was wounded in the leg.
