Ukraine's Prime Minister Mykola Azarov at a government's meeting onMarch 17has named the main priorities of the government's work.
The premier determined promising and main priorities for the work of the Cabinet of Ministers, including the preparations for expected flooding, preparations for spring agricultural work, the stabilization the of price situation on the consumer market and the energy market, the improvement of medical services, and bringing order to the housing and utilities sector, a correspondent from Interfax-Ukraine reported.
"First of all, in several days the thaw will begin, although time has been waster, the equipment, construction materials and people must be urgently prepared to prevent possible negative consequences," Azarov said.
The prime minister charged corresponding vice-premiers and ministers with providing the preparation for the spring agricultural works and taking urgent measures to stabilize the price situation and the situation on the energy market.
Azarov drew attention to the poor situation in the housing and utilities sector and charged the cabinet members responsible for this with bringing order to this sector. He noted that on Saturday he will personally hold a meeting with the heads of Kyiv City State Administration regarding the situation in the housing and inutilities sector of Kyiv.
