Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has expressed his regret that some European politicians see the Ukrainian authorities only in a negative light.

While chatting with Facebook users on Thursday, the prime minister said that he met with the European Parliament’s observer and former president of the parliament, Pat Cox, on Thursday to discuss the implementation of the plans of preparation for the November summit between Ukraine and the EU.

“We have been cooperating and will cooperate with all European politicians who embrace constructive cooperation with Ukraine. Unfortunately, there are some politicians in Europe who see Ukraine only in a negative light. They are biased against everything that happens in Ukraine. Yet, we meet even with them at least to express our point of view,” Azarov wrote.

The prime minister noted that the Ukrainian authorities were open to dialogue. “We always listen to constructive criticism, but, of course, we reject a direct and sometimes flagrant interference in internal affairs,” he added.
