Ukrainian Health Minister Oleksandr Anischenko and Education and Science, Youth and Sports Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk have started working more actively in response to criticism, Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov has said.

"You know, they should not be afraid, they should be aware of their responsibilities," the premier said in an interview with the Inter television channel aired on Sunday, September 4.

"They are more active now, I mean the Health Ministry. We called on the employees of the public health sphere to account and warned them very strictly, and this worked. The same refers to any minister, including the education minister.

"If things go well in the sphere, they can work calmly. But if there are mistakes and failures, of course neither the government, nor the president would tolerate the work of such a minister," Azarov added.
