Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that he is dissatisfied with the activities of Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Yezhel.

He said at an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv on Wednesday that the defense minister was busy with conflicts, rather than with the fulfillment of his direct duties.

"The situation in the army has not improved. Housing for the military is not being built, the defense order is not being fulfilled, and the minister spends of all his energy on scandals. He’s either disrupting a tender, or failing to regulate the rations of soldiers, or is clarifying his relations with the chief of the general staff," Azarov said.

At the same time, he expressed regret that the defense minister had not drawn any conclusions from a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council held this summer, when his activity was criticized.
