Azarov: United Energy Systems debts not discussed with Putin

Ukrainian Primier Mykola Azarov says the subject of repaying the debt of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) Corporation to the Russian Defense Ministry was not discussed at CIS meeting.

St. Petersburg - The subject of repaying the debt of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) Corporation to the Russian Defense Ministry was not discussed at a meeting with the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said. "This topic was not discussed [with Putin] yesterday. It is out of tune with the development of our bilateral relations. If we are keen on seeing our relations run into a deadlock, this topic can be discussed. If we are keen to develop our relations, then I am not going to raise this subject at my own initiative," he told journalists in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.
