You're reading: Baloha ‘gloomy’ about meeting of Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission

Ukrainian Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloha has said he got "gloomy" impressions from the fifth meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian Interstate Commission, which was chaired by Presidents Viktor Yanukovych and Vladimir Putin on Thursday.

“Yesterday I attended a meeting of the commission with the Russians. My impressions are gloomy. There were a lot of bad manners, and this shattered the hospitable Ukrainians. President Putin exceeded all permissible limits for being late. He went to see bikers and their girlfriends, thus showing his priorities,” he wrote on his page on Facebook on Friday.

“In general, the Russians brought no new ideas. Their offers are fat-free. Their thinking remains the same. ‘We are subsidizing Ukraine with billions of dollars thanks to a discount on gas.’ ‘Ukraine has an advantageous price on Russian gas,'” the minister said.
