Ukraine's Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloha plans to resign from his post, which he told users of the Facebook social network.

“My current work as the emergency situations minister is coming to an
end. In a moral plane, it has been quite burdensome. Since the
question, as you understand, is not in the office, but in how useful you
are to the society for which you work,” Baloha wrote on his Facebook
page on Thursday.

“Without going into details, I will say: I am happy that the tenure
is coming to an end. I am looking forward to quickly getting a stamp in
my employment record, where it will be written ‘dismissed in connection
with his transfer to another job’, or ‘by personal wish’. For me, it is
the number one issue today,” the minister said.

Baloha runs for the parliament in a single seat constituency in Zakarpattia region.
