The BYT-Batkivschyna faction in parliament will demand the resignation of Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka and his first deputy, Renat Kuzmin.

"Mr. Pshonka and his first deputy, Mr. Kuzmin, should resign," the head of the faction, Andriy Kozhemyakin, said at a meeting of the conciliatory council of the leaders of parliamentary factions and committees in Kyiv on Monday.

He said that the faction would start "collecting signatures concerning the procedure for the resignation of the prosecutor general and his report to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine."

Kozhemyakin also said that BYT-Batkivschyna had also demanded that a bill on the decriminalization of Article 365 of the Criminal Code be immediately considered and that a resolution on the implementation of the PACE resolution be adopted.
