Regions Party MP Inna Bohoslovska has said that Russian pressure on Ukraine through gas will not prompt Ukraine to join the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
“I don’t think that this factor will force Ukraine to join the Customs Union, at least under the current government,” she said at a roundtable in Kyiv on Thursday.
Bohoslovska noted that the more Ukraine diversifies energy supplies, the less it will have political dependence on Russia.
