They also hung a banner reading "Yanukovych, Do Not Kill Yulia."

On Dec. 7 lawmakers from the BYT-Batkivschyna and Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense factions have demonstratively left the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada, refusing to participate in its plenary session.

The BYT-Batkivschyna faction in parliament re-elected its leadership at a meeting on Wednesday.

Kozhemiakin, who earlier served as the first deputy head of the faction, was elected as its head, in place of Kyrylenko.
