The Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko (BYT) is facing problems gaining access to appearance on TV channels, and is planning to inform the public through leaflets, newspapers and new media, the head of the BYT central headquarters, Oleksandr Turchynov, has said.

"We have been sending formal letters to the Inter TV Channel for many weeks to give [opposition leader Yulia] Tymoshenko a chance to appear on Friday’s Big Politics talk show hosted by Yevgeny Kiselev. But everything was in vain. They earlier invented reasons for their refusal, but now they are not inventing anything – they just say ‘no,’" he told reporters, the BYT press service reported on Monday.

Turchynov said that the process of censorship and self-control had currently been seen, which is very quickly being restored in the media, law enforcement agencies and judicial authorities.

He said that the BYT intended to inform citizens using "leaflets, newspapers, and modern electronic technology."
