Cabinet: Turchynov will fulfill premier's duties until new government is formed

First Vice Premier Oleksandr Turchynov has been empowered to fulfill the prime minister's duties until a new government is formed, the media liaisons office of the government's secretariat reported on Mar. 4. Such a decision was taken in line with the Ukrainian Constitution and the current law.

On March 3, the Ukrainian parliament passed a vote of no confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers led by Premier Yulia Tymoshenko, which automatically foresees the government's dismissal.
The Kyiv Post is disabling its online comment section due to an increase in trolls, violent comments and other personal attacks. Other news organizations worldwide have taken similar steps for the same reasons. The Kyiv Post regrets having to take this action. The newspaper believes in a robust public debate, but the discussion must be constructive and intelligent.
