The Central Election Commission (CEC) has rejected the proposal on the impossibility of establishing the election results in single-seat constituency No. 14 in Vinnytsia region.

Only six commission members of the required eight voted for such a proposal at a commission meeting on Saturday.

The draft decision on the impossibility of determining the election results in constituency No. 14 was submitted by commission member Yulia Shvets, the curator for Vinnytsia region.

According to the commission’s Web site, with 100% of vote count protocols counted, self-nominee Viktor Zherebniuk took the most vote (34,784 votes, or 33.32%). He is followed by Batkivschyna Party representative Ivan Melnychuk (34,701 votes, or 33.24%).

Earlier, the CEC approved a resolution on the impossibility of establishing the election results in five single-member districts, and the parliament then recommended that the CEC call repeat elections in these districts.

The issue concerns constituencies Nos. 94 (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), 132 (Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region), 194, 197 (Cherkasy region), and 223 (Kyiv, Shevchenkivsky district).
