Germany is planning to send a great number of official supervisors to the parliamentary elections in Ukraine, the mass media department of the Secretariat of Central Election Commission has reported.

"Germany is planning to send a numerous group of official supervisors", German Ambassador to Ukraine Hans-Jurgen Heimsoeth said during a meeting with Head of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine Volodymyr Shapoval on Tuesday.

Shapoval in turn told his guest about forthcoming elections for the Verkhovna Rada, which are to be held on October 28, 2012, and also about new amendments into the recently-adopted law on the elections of Ukrainian MPs.

"At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed readiness for close cooperation, and not only during the next elections," the committee’s leadership said.
