Central Election Commission registers 552 candidates for majority constituencies

The Central Election Commission has registered another 329 candidates in people's deputies for majority constituencies.

The Central Election Commission has registered another 329 candidates in people's deputies for majority constituencies, including 110 candidates proposed by the political parties and 219 self-nominated candidates.

Among self-nominated candidates are former member of the Communist Party of Ukraine Leonid Hrach (constituency No. 1, Crimea), the head of the transport police department at the Interior Ministry of Ukraine Viktor Rozvadovsky (constituency No. 67, Zhytomyr region), former Uzhgorod Mayor Serhiy Ratushniak (constituency No. 68, Zakarpattia region), head of Kyiv Culture University Mykhailo Poplavsky (constituency No. 91, Kyiv region), president of the Institute for Political Analysis and Social Forecast Oleksandr Volkov (constituency No. 158, Sumy region), academician of National Academy of Law Sciences Stepan Havrysh (constituency No. 176, Kharkiv region), former head of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine Serhiy Buriak (constituency No. 190, Khmelnytsky region), former transport and communications minister of Ukraine Yosyf Vinsky (constituency No. 192, Khmelnytsky region), lawmaker Bohdan Hubsky (constituency No. 197, Cherkasy region), lawmaker Anatoliy Semenoha (constituency No. 198, Cherkasy region), former transport and communications minister of Ukraine Mykola Rudkovsky (constituency No. 210, Chernihiv region), board of directors of the Confederation of Constructors of Ukraine (CCU) Lev Partskhaladze (constituency No. 218, Kyiv city), lawmaker of Kyiv city council Oleksandr Pabat (constituency No. 219, Kyiv city) and former head of Shevchenkivsky district administration Viktor Pylypyshyn (constituency No. 219, Kyiv city).

People's Party presented party head Volodymyr Lytvyn as a candidate in lawmaker for constituency No. 65 in Zhytomyr region.

United Center Party presented Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloha as a candidate in lawmaker for constituency No. 69 in Zakarpattia region, Pavlo Baloha for constituency No. 71 in Zakarpattia region, Vasyl Petevka for constituency No. 72 in Zakarpattia region, Ivan Baloha for constituency No. 73 in Zakarpattia region and political scientist Vadym Karasev for constituency No. 72 in Kyiv city.

In addition, earlier the CEC regsigered 223 candidates for majority constituencies proposed by the Communist Party of Ukraine.

Thus, on August 3, 2012, the commission registered 522 candidates in people's deputies for majority constituencies.
