Communist Party supporters urged the Ukrainian authorities not to cooperate with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and reconsider the terms of the country's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO). Communist Party has ended its rally of protest on Independence Square in Kyiv, which was dedicated to the anniversary of the October Revolution.

The end of the rally, the communists adopted a resolution calling on Ukrainians to fight for the victory of socialism.

They also called for a fight against the "robbery of the Ukrainian people" by oligarchic clans, the nationalization of strategic companies, the introduction of a ban on the sale of agricultural land, and demanded that payments for utilities not account for more than 10% of the income of Ukrainian families.

The communists also demanded that Russian be given the status of a second official language in Ukraine and that the policy of the rehabilitation of collaborators with fascism and leaders of nationalist movements be stopped.

The rally participants also demanded that Ukraine join a common economic space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that about 2,000 people participated in the rally on the central square of the Ukrainian capital.

Communism is not socialism. This is a smoke screen. Ukraine has never flourished or prospered under the flag of the communist party. It only means repression and death to the ideals Ukrainians hold dear. The Russians have moved on and are flying their national flag but these left over remains of false ideology are still swinging their red rag. They are beyond knowing better. Their IQ doesn't permit it.

If all of these Communist pre-conditions were met, the only only alternative for Ukraine would be industrial, agricultural and economic growth built upon repression and slavery - just as it was under Stalin. Grinding poverty and backwardness describes these Communists and their plan for Ukraine.

It's unthinkable and laughable.
