Pechersky District Court has set a deadline for former Prime Minister and Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko to study the materials of the criminal cases against her concerning the misuse of money provided under the Kyoto Protocol and procurement of Opel Combo cars, Tymoshenko's counsel MP Serhiy Vlasenko has said.

"Pechersk District Court issued a ruling on May 23, 2011 to set Tymoshenko a deadline for studying the materials of the cases on ‘the Kyoto money’ and on automobiles for rural medicine. The deadline is June 25," Vlasenko told journalists in Kyiv on Thursday.

Tymoshenko intends to study the materials of these particular cases first, and after that will consider those related to the 2009 gas contracts.

Vlasenko said that the case on gas contracts consist of about 150 volumes.

As reported, the ex-premier is charged with the misuse of funds received by Ukraine under the Kyoto Protocol, abuse of office while purchasing Opel Combo vehicles against government guarantees, and the abuse of power during the conclusion of gas contracts with Russia in 2009.
