The next meeting of Pechersky District Court in Kyiv on the gas contracts case against former Ukrainian Prime Minister and Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko will start at 10:00 on July 7.

Explaining the reasons for closing the court sitting on Wednesday, Tymoshenko’s lawyer Mykola Tytarenko noted that the judicial procedure requires that the defendant should obtain clarification of her rights and obligations at this stage of the trial. But this cannot be done in the absence of Tymoshenko.

As reported, Pechersky District Court ruled to expel Tymoshenko from the courtroom for a period of one day for contempt of court.
