Kharkiv – An observer from the European Parliament (EP), former EP President Pat Cox, has arrived at Ukrzaliznytsia's Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 (Kharkiv), where former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is undergoing treatment. 

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that the bus carrying Cox entered the territory of the hospital at about 1405, accompanied by a traffic police car and a car of Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

Earlier, Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor Hennadiy Tiurin, Head of the Penitentiary Service in Kharkiv Region Yevhen Barash and Tymoshenko’s defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, also arrived at the hospital.

As reported, early on Monday, Cox attended a meeting of the Kyivsky District Court of Kharkiv in the case on charges brought against Tymoshenko regarding the financial irregularities of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) Corporation.
