You're reading: Crimean parliament dismisses speaker, head of government

Simferopol, March 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Crimea's Supreme Council (parliament) has voted to accept the resignation of its chairman Anatoliy Hrytsenko.

A total of 68 deputies out of 86 registered in the session hall voted for this decision at the parliament’s meeting on March 17.

The parliamentarians also accepted the resignation of chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Victor Plakida. This decision was supported by 71 deputies, four voted against.

In addition, Hryhoriy Ioffe was dismissed from the post of deputy speaker of the Crimean parliament following his resignation.
