You're reading: Daily gas imports to Ukraine through Slovakia on Nov. 18 set another record high

Ukraine on Nov. 18 imported 31 million cubic meters (mcm) of natural gas through Slovakia, whereas the previous record high was registered on November 7 when gas shipments totaled 30.90 mcm, the head of the public relations department at public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz Maksym Beliavsky has said. 

From Nov. 1 to Nov. 18, 2014, Ukraine got 548.7 mcm of gas from Slovakia and Poland.

As reported, the additional capacity of the Vojany-Uzhgorod gas pipeline was reached after technical improvements by the Ukrainian side.

Previously the capacity of the Vojany-Uzhgorod pipeline was estimated at 27 billion cubic meters per day.
