Defense team asks court to release Tymoshenko from custody

The defense team for former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko have asked Kyiv Court of Appeals to change the preventive measure against the defendant and release her. The motion was voiced by defense lawyer Mykola Siry at a session of Kyiv Court of Appeals, which is hearing an appeal against the verdict in the case on gas supply contracts signed by Tymoshenko.
