Member of Parliament Ivan Denkovich of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction, former leader of the Batkivschyna party's Lviv regional chapter, on June 4 left the party, he has announced to the press in Lviv.
"I declare my principal dissent with the processes going on in the party and my leaving it," he said.
In his words, deeds within the party differ from words.
"I can no longer take they in the party saying one things and doing the opposite," he said.
He also called upon other party members to quit it.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn in the morning of June 1 read out Denkovich’s application on joining the coalition but at the evening session the MP withdrew it.
On May 25, Batkivschyna presidium relieved Denkovich from the post of chairman of the party Lviv regional chapter he had headed from 2003.
