Economy Minister Vasyl Tsushko on July 24 took over Socialist party leadership from Oleksandr Moroz, who headed the party for 20 years.
“We must work so hard in order not to displease Moroz,” Tsushko said after his election by the party convention, suggesting that Moroz be appointed honorary head of the party.
The Socialists are notorious for their political zigzagging among major parties.Tsushko campaigned for Viktor Yanukovych’s during the 2010 presidential campaign.
