Dnipropetrovsk, Oct. 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Economic Development and Trade Ministry has created a new sub-union - a department on industrial policy - and appointed Vitaliy Maystrenko as its head, Director General of the Metalurhprom (Dnipropetrovsk) Association of Metallurgical Enterprises Vasyl Kharakhulakh has reported.

He said that the Economic Development and Trade Ministry also created a department on the development of the branches of the industry and appointed Pavlo Shynkarenko as its head.

Moreover, the department on the development of the mining and smelting complex and the chemical industry was created headed by Yuriy Derkach.

Kharakhulakh expressed his satisfaction concerning the creation of branch sub-unions in the structure of the ministry that will be responsible for mining and smelting complex and resolving of emerging problems.

Earlier, the head of Metalurhprom repeatedly pointed to on the absence of efficient aid from ministries and departments after the decision to abolish Industrial Policy Ministry and create on its basis the State Agency on the Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises, which has not yet started working.

The State Agency on the Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises, which has been created on the basis of the Industrial Policy Ministry, is headed by former Industrial Policy Minister Dmytro Kolesnikov.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych signed the corresponding order at the end of December 2010.
