Election Committee estimates cost of holding local elections on August 1 at Hr 3.1 million

The Central Electoral Commission has approved the amount of money necessary for financing early local elections in 50 population centers on August 1 at Hr 3.149 million. The press service of the Central Electoral Commission announced this in a statement.

The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Central Electoral Commission on Wednesday.

In addition, the Central Electoral Commission approved a budget of UAH 15.812 million for financing implementation of the program entitled "Operation of the State Voter Register" in 2010.

The commission also considered the issue of changing the addresses of voters at the meeting.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Central Electoral Commission estimated in April that UAH 5.349 million was necessary for financing the early local elections scheduled for June 20.
