EU Council meeting ends without approving anti-Russian sanctions – source

BRUSSELS - The European Union Council, at a meeting in Brussels on June 9, considered further sanctions against Russia but made no decision, a senior diplomat told Interfax, adding that the council would return to the matter.

The meeting had been expected to result in an extension to the list of Russians to be forbidden entry to the EU and have their bank assets in the Union frozen.
