Brussels -- The European Union on Nov. 28 extended its Ukraine-related sanctions list by adding on individuals and organizations based in eastern Ukraine, accusing them of actions undermining the country's territorial integrity, Interfax was told in the Council's executive service.

The 13 sanctioned individuals will be banned from entering EU countries. They and the five sanctioned entities will have their assets in EU banks frozen.

Those individuals and organizations are not named in the EU Council announcement of the measure but are expected to be named in the November 29 issue of the EU’s Official Journal, which is when the sanctions take effect.

The blacklist additions had been recommended on Thursday by the EU Permanent Representatives Committee, the group consisting of the heads or deputy heads of the member state missions in Brussels.
