Decriminalization of the statute is not the option we greet. But given that there needs to be an exit from this shameful situation in which Ukraine has found itself with this case, we would agree to even decriminalization.

There should indeed be an exit from this situation. But I don't agree with Yulia's defence council that decriminalization could be an acceptable option. The ONLY acceptable options are (1) the prosecution has to drop their ridiculous accusations or (2) the judge pronounces a "not guilty" verdict. If I were Yulia I would not accept anything less- but it's her decision.
Can't they stone her to death with her Prada shoes???
Yulia is a bandit and one bandit in jail is a start
The world saw Yanukovych portrayed in a recent Homer Simpson cartoon.
oh yes must be true
You should have your right to free speech revoked with such a stupid fu$kin comment
Europe dont care! and nor should they.
Speak for yourself! Just because you don't care, it doesn't mean no one should!
yawwwn, yes the EU care they say lots of things...
Au contraire, Europe DOES care...... and cares a great deal. The EU is watching very closely and Yanukovich has repeatedly been told that a "guilty" verdict will have very serious repercussions indeed. Does cancelling the Association and Free Trade Treaty sound serious enough? Make no mistake, the EU WILL cancel the Treaty when Yulia goes to jail. Hopefully, Yanukovich finally realizes this.
This is not just about Yulia- she simply happens to be the best-known of those being persecuted (note: NOT prosecuted). She has merely become the symbol, if you like, of the EU's determination to hold all prospective members (in this case the Ukraine) to certain standards, including legal standards (the EU would do the same with Belarus if they were negotiating an Association and Free Trade Treaty with Lukashenko). If the Ukrainian legal system were as impartial and independent as that of, say, Switzerland, Germany or Sweden, then Yanukovich would have no problems with the EU. But as we all know, and is being demonstrated by judge Kireyev, the Ukrainian legal system is far from independent and impartial.
Yes you said it! The EU is watching..........
Yanukovych thinks that the EU are fools. He says one thing but does another. He is transforming Ukraine into a Putin style dictatorship.
