Brussels - Head of the European Parliament's Delegation on Cooperation with Ukraine Pawel Kowal has said he is satisfied with the results of the EU-Ukraine summit, and that the European choice of Kyiv can become a reality in case of real actions.

“I would like to express my satisfaction with the summit, during which both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sign the Association Agreement as soon as decisive actions and tangible progress in three areas noted during the EU-Ukraine Summit in 2011 and reiterated in the conclusions of the European Council on December 10, 2012 are demonstrated,” Kowal said in a commentary issued in Brussels on Tuesday.

The European politician believes that the results of the summit once again confirm that Ukraine’s European choice may become a reality, and Ukraine may soon be established in the European Union. However, this must be preceded by an adequate effort by Ukraine to fulfill its obligations, the MEP said.

Therefore Kowal stressed that the upcoming summit of the Eastern Partnership in Vilnius in November of this year is a probable date for signing of the Association Agreement. However, if Ukraine misses this opportunity, it will not appear again in the next few years.
