I wonder why Yanukovych expends so many resources jailing his opposition, Yulia Tymoshenko, Yuriy Lutsenko, and other, when he could easily just have the firing squad do it. Yanukovych is just a half-hearted dictator. He could takes lessons Assad on how to be more ruthless.
(Now that you mention it, isn't it peculiar that Putin supports both Yanukovych''s regime & Assad's regime. They are more similar than I originally thought.)
