The Bloc of Vitaliy Klychko in Kyiv Council has changed its name to the UDAR of Vitaliy Klychko, the press service of this political force reported on Feb. 15.

"Henceforth, the faction of our political force in Kyiv City Council will be called the faction of the political party of UDAR (which means "punch" in Ukrainian and Russian, and stands for the Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform), and the faction of UDAR of Vitaliy Klychko in short form. The change in the name will be announced at the next sitting of Kyiv City Council, which is to take place on February 17,” the deputy faction leader and Kyiv City Council Deputy Natalia Novak said.

Commenting on the reasons for the change, the deputy noted that the political force of Vitaliy Klychko last year participated in local elections across whole Ukraine under this name, and currently it will continue its long-term work in Kyiv and fight for the votes of the capital’s electorate.
